Our multidisciplinary team of professionals strive to improve the quality of everyday life for the individuals and families we serve through both of our companies, Kids of New York Applied Behavior Analysis, PLLC and Bridge Psychology and Speech Therapy, PLLC. Through extensive clinical research and experience, we have identified the most effective strategies to support individuals with their varying developmental and learning needs. Our team of professionals provides a unique therapeutic experience based upon the needs of each individual and family. We believe in compassionate care and strive to build upon each child's unique strengths. We pride ourselves in fostering strong relationships with each family, taking into account their goals, dreams, and needs. Our team provides each family with progressive services that merge evidence-based practices with play-based and social instruction. We believe that meaningful progress is best accomplished through a multidisciplinary approach based on behaviorally-sound principles.
Our founding team consists of a Licensed Psychologist/BCBA and Speech Language Pathologist/BCBA. Together, we provide a comprehensive perspective on learning and development. Our companies offer a variety of services, such as supporting parent knowledge and advocacy, offering professional training and supervision, and supportive services for children. We strive to build bridges that close developmental gaps and foster meaningful connections. It is our mission to create real and positive change in the lives of individuals and their families and to be known synonymously as the BEST in NYC.
What makes Bridge Kids different?
Every single therapist who works for us is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
Many also are dually licensed as speech pathologists, psychologists, or special education teachers!
We provide a wide range of services specifically to help caregivers navigate caring for an individual with support needs (see Comprehensive Support Suite for the full list)
We hold ourselves to a very high ethical standard. We follow the guidelines of the Behavior Analyst Certificate Board (BACB) as well as our own code of conduct developed based upon ongoing dialogue with individuals in the neurodivergent community. We prioritize our clients’ dignity, autonomy, decision-making power, and happiness and strive to develop functional goals based upon the clients’ interests and goals for the future.
We are advocates as well as therapists! In addition to advocating for our clients’ needs on a daily basis, we advocate for families during IEP Meetings, Impartial Hearings, school meetings, doctors’ appointments, independent evaluations, extracurricular settings, etc.!
We work with families to create and implement a behavioral program that works for your unique child and your unique family. Caregiver involvement is required as part of our services and we view caregivers as essential members of the team.
